Letters are connecting countries!

Who says that writing letters has become a thing from the past for our students nowadays?!

My students got letters from their Turkish peers and were so happy - I even didn’t expect to see such a reaction! They were practically dancing when they saw the letters and were reading them. No online correspondence can replace the joy of holding a real letter which is written by hand and contains wonderful little surprises inside: coins, pictures, even (don’t be surprised!) badges! The correspondence with the students from a Turkish school started after TEA Fulbright Program participants returned home and decided to strengthen friendship by doing projects together.

Moreover, we decided to start exchanging letters with students from  Shaw Middle School and Melton Elementary School (Nevada). Our students have a lot of things to share and every time choose a new topic to tell about: native country, hobbies, sport, etc.

Thank you, my dear colleagues and wonderful friends for initiating and supporting this wonderful project!
